about

A light-hearted tribute to the various predictions of doom that preceded the first use of the Large Hadron Collider.

lyrics

Folks outside the scientific mainstream have been asking dark questions about the LHC: Could the collider create miniature black holes that rip the planet apart in a maelstrom of destruction? Could exotic particles known as magnetic monopoles throw atomic nuclei out of whack? Could quarks recombine into "strangelets" that would turn the whole Earth into one large mass of exotic matter?

Scientists say no. But, can you trust them?
